High sensitivity


When you learn to deal with high sensitivity weel, it can be a great advantage to be very sensitive. You feel, experience, hear, see, smell & taste much more and much more refined & profound than most people & that can enrich your life incredibly. But to really enjoy this you will have to learn to deal with your sensitivity in a good way. Because otherwise you will be painfully confronted with the disadvantages & pitfalls of high sensitivity and your life will become unnecessarily difficult & heavy.

High sensitivity is often seen as weakness or pretentiousness and of course it can be. But much more often, high sensitivity is a talent that is not recognized and/or valued and that you therefore do not learn to deal with in a good way. As a result, the negative aspects of high sensitivity can come to dominate and you can become full & empty again and again with all kinds of people, situations and/or activities - and you can get quite stuck.

Most people do not learn from home to deal with their sensitivity well, which can cause a lot of confusion because you lack insight into your high sensitivity & you do not have the tools to deal with it well. The chance is then great that you are confronted with the disadvantages & pitfalls of your sensitivity to a large extent, without fully realizing that your problems are related to your high sensitivity - which makes it extra confusing.

If you get the message from an early age, for example, that you should not be so sensitive, that you should not act up, suppress your feelings, be strong & not let yourself be known, etc., this gives you little support in dealing with high sensitivity. You can then keep trying endlessly to suppress your sensitivity, be strong, deny yourself & not let yourself be known, become insensitive & invulnerable or create calluses on your soul, but this often only makes the problem bigger and you continue to fill up & empty.

But the opposite can also be the case if, for example, you were raised too protected. Then you may have been treated as a vulnerable doll, who could not take a punch and had to be protected and guarded - and that is ultimately not very helpful. You may experience yourself as very fragile and (unconsciously) exaggerate your vulnerability, which can make a gust of wind feel like a storm to you and you may think out of fear that you always have to guard and protect yourself - and that does not provide balance either.

High sensitivity can be very exhausting if you do not know how to deal with it properly and you can therefore withdraw more and more to be less bothered by all the impressions, energies, feelings & atmospheres that you unintentionally pick up. You often see highly sensitive people, out of a kind of desperation, reach for all possible remedies, crystals, therapies and/or cosmic help that might help - but usually only increase the confusion.

If you do not work practically with your high sensitivity, you can end up in a negative spiral of avoidance & isolation and start to lead a very limited life, in which you unknowingly feed your own fear & negatively strengthen your sensitivity. By avoiding instead of increasing your insight, you will become even more unstable, rather than giving you more control & making your balance stronger - and that is an unnecessarily lonely & difficult path to take.

High sensitivity has a number of disadvantages & pitfalls that you better learn to deal with very practically, because otherwise your sensitivity can cause a lot of misery. And that starts with learning to distinguish between your high sensitivity & your sensitivities. High sensitivity is your talent that you have to learn to deal with & that you can have a lot of fun with & the coaching helps you to get a clear manual of your high sensitivity.

Your sensitivities are your weak spots that have caused negative undermining (unconscious) patterns in your way of thinking, feeling & doing.
